Big Therriault Campground is conveniently located in Eureka, MT 59917, USA, deep within the Kootenai National Forest. To reach Big Therriault Campground from Fortine, simply follow US Highway 93 northeast for about 3 miles (around mile marker 169.34). beautiful lake way up into to forest great place to see Canada without going there road to Lake is right on the Canadian border
Long dirt road (18 miles) with a lot of pot holes and washboard surface, but campground was nice, quiet and beautiful. Beautiful lake and surrounding scenery of forest and cliffs is spectacular.
Nice warm but not hot little rain Very bad road past Clarence creek washboard. No huckleberry. Saw a bear
Loooong ride back in there. Be sure you are prepared. There will be no one showing up quickly. Beautiful area.
