This campground offers a tranquil lakeside experience, particularly appealing to those seeking a tent camping getaway.

Environment: Big Trinity Lake Campground boasts a beautiful lake and scenic surroundings. Visitors have described the area as very nice and a beautiful spot. The campground is primarily designed for tent camping, with leveled areas specifically for tents. It appears to be less suited for trailers or larger RVs due to the lack of flat, expansive parking areas.

Services & Features: The campground is noted for being clean, and one visitor mentioned an abundance of firewood stacked throughout the area. The cost for camping was reported as $10 per night. While one review indicated good fishing, another described it as poor, suggesting that fishing success may vary. The campground seems to offer a more secluded experience, as one visitor found it almost totally deserted on a Monday.

Important Considerations: Access to Big Trinity Lake Campground requires navigating a rough drive that necessitates good vehicle clearance. While some visitors with horse trailers managed the journey, it was noted that the horses likely experienced a challenging ride. Additionally, it's important to be aware of road closures; the direct route from Fall Creek was reported as closed, requiring access through Pine-Featherville. The road from Featherville is considered far easier than the route from Anderson Ranch, which reportedly requires four-wheel drive and high clearance.

Currently, there is no specific promotional information available for Big Trinity Lake Campground. However, the low nightly camping fee of $10 makes it an affordable option for those seeking a tent camping experience in a scenic lakeside setting near Mountain Home, Idaho. Local users should be prepared for a potentially challenging drive depending on their chosen route and vehicle type.

I went on a Monday, so the place was almost totally deserted- very nice. The lake and scenery are beautiful and the fishing was good. This campground is for sleeping in tents, there really isn't any flat ground except for where it has been leveled for tents. I really didn't see anywhere you could park a trailer or larger RV. The campground was clean- lots of firewood stacked everywhere- though there wasn't anyone else in the campground- I was in on the SW end of the lake. The drive up is rough, need good clearance, though I did see a few people with horse trailers on the way- those horses had to take a beating. Also- the road from Fall Creek up is still closed, you need to go through Pine-Featherville.

Beautiful spot, 10$ per night for camping. Fishing was poor -1 star for that. The road from Featherville is far easier than the road from Anderson Ranch (which requires 4 wheel drive and clearance).

Beautiful place! The only downfall are the constant ATV's driving up from Anderson reservoir.

Nice little hike to get there but it was a fun night of fishing and getting eaten alive by mosquitoes.

Beautiful campground. Very peaceful. Lucked out and saw an osprey fishing. Spot 17 is awesome. There is a little creek flowing next to it. Ice cold water. I stepped into the lake and had muck up to my knee. So much for wading. There are sections of the road with very fine and deep moon dust.
