Stayed 1 night mid June. This place is very nice relaxing place. It feels like a country park with lots of green grass. Sprinklers were running in unoccupied places. The only issue might be the higher numbered full hookup sites are not very level front to back. It wasn't a problem for us since our trailer was able to extend the tongue jack just enough. The class c next to us was unable to, but they were allowed to move to one of the level sites. Being so nice, it is easy to give the place 5 stars.
Nicely maintained grounds with a small lake. I didn't fish but many people were and catching 16 in. rainbows. Lake was pretty full of weeds and algae so we didn't let the dog swim. Showers were coin op and could use some sprucing up but worked fine. From here we went and hiked to Blue Lake. Gorgeous! We also stopped in Mazama. A great town with a fantastic store.
We spent 4 days here and had a GREAT TIME. We talked to many of the other campers. A lot of them has been coming here for many years. The camp ground is family owned and operated by the nicest people you will ever meet. The camp ground is kept neat and clean. The bathrooms were cleaned and well stocked many times a day. This is now going to be our go to stop when we are going to be in the Winthrop area. Thanks for a great weekend Your new camper family Arnie and Julie Faulkner
We read the reviews and they sounded horrible. We were desperate to get out and go camping though. So we decided to take our chances on the big twin lake. Boy oh boy am I glad we did. The reviews were all lies. I heard not 1 single frog, the bathrooms were always clean and stocked with toilet paper and paper towels as well as a nice smelling hand soap. There is a very clean playground that our daughter loved to visit often. The staff are wonderful. We will be back to this campground in august and enjoy another 4 or 5 days. Thank you to all of the staff for the amazing stay. The Dinsmore family.
We really enjoyed out stay! Quite place, lovely view. Some sites has shade. Our dog loved walking around and our baby enjoyed the small play ground. The lake itself looks nice but could use some maintenance. Sites are very close, luckily the site next to us was empty the whole time so we had enough space. During the weekend the place was busy but on week days it was pretty good. Even on a hot day it wasn't too hot thanks to the wind
