Owner Dave does not like long term seasonal park guests to hang out with others. He tells you to unplug your fridge if leaving the site even to get groceries. Says if you don't he will charge you. Gets local police in on short notice to remove seasonal guests when he doesn't like them. He doesn't need any reason at all since it's his property. Then he keeps the rest of the money for the season. This has happened multiple years to many people. It's a shame as many were good people and took care of their areas even when he didn't.

Birtch crest gives you the natural beauty mother nature offers. The owners' operators are friendly and helpful. They make everyone feel safe and comfortable. The property is extremely well cared for, and the bathrooms are exceptionally clean. The lake is the cleanest I have ever swam in because it's spring fed. It's absolutely my favorite place to go to recharge and feel grounded.

My wife and I have rented a trailer site here for 2 years now and are upgrading our trailer as we have fallen in love with this place! Horn lake is one of the most beautiful and clean lakes I have ever seen. Dave and Bev are very salt of the earth people and are kind and compassionate. But if your a problem causing or lieing person then no respect will be given. Right from day 1 Dave gave me his rules on paper (which were reasonable) and politely said if I didn't agree with any to please speak now as he will not be changing them. The "rules" as some ppl have committed on in there reviews, allow me to have a good night sleep and everyone in the park is clean and respectful because of Dave and Bev's attention to potential problems that can occur in a park. They take pride in there guests injoying there time here. Regular lawn care is done every week and my family all stayed in the cabins last year and are booking again this year, cabins come with a boat rental 😎 My father loves it so much he bought a trailer here last year as well. Thank you Dave and Bev 💛 looking forward to another awesome summer at Birch Crest Resort!!! FYI Sunsets are epic here!

We visited Birchcrest Resort on a long weekend in July - August. Our cottage was right at the lake. We saw beautiful sunset and moonrise!!! It was awesome. We also explored the Horn lake on our Kayak( free of charge) with life jackets!! Our daughter all of 9 years explored on her own! We could jump off the dock for swimming, play in sand, sit on swings.( We didn't take folding chairs and hammock, it is highly advisable to carry if u have one) Cherry on the cake though was the star gazing from the dock, we saw so many falling stars as it was a clear night!!! It's a beautiful rustic cottage which will accommodate 2 adults and 2 kids on bunk bed. And a sofa cum bed for extra guests with one washroom. We were provided with all the kitchen go to amenities like micro, refrigerator, kettle, toaster, pots and pans, dishes, bowls, mugs and of course stove. We also did campfire, and BBQ !!! We did carry our bedding including napkins. I would highly recommend it to everyone who is looking for some rustic nature friendly experience!

Visited a few weeks ago and rented cabin 6. Absolutely perfect experience. Very simple and clean living space right on the water. The owner of the park was quick to respond when we asked to buy firewood and he even helped my brother start a fire when I left our wood in the rain. Dave was good enough also to top off the fuel tanks and pump the rainwater from the boat that came with the cottage rental. The lake is shared with other cottages but it is isolated enough that boat traffic is minimal and it's nice and quiet (also the resort beach is fairly closed in). They have canoes and kayaks available for registered visitors and I believe they have a paddle boat. There's a little playground and horseshoe pit. I recommend the "sunset dock" for a great view of the lake and the public cliff on the far north side of Horn Lake (look for the rope to climb up and please jump carefully if you decide it is safe).
