Birch Point Lodge Campgrounds

We had family come in from out of town and figured we would take them here for a good fish dinner. The food itself was fair, however the service was by far probably the worse I have ever experienced. We stood there for 10 min before the rude waitress walked by and said go ahead and sit down. We waited for an hour to get our food and that was the last time we seen the rude blond. Meanwhile the owner walked by several times while we sat there with empty glasses, but he was too busy talking with his local buddies. Long story short it sucked! Worse $150 I've ever spent!!

We stayed one night. Nice place to visit. The view of the river was great. The only problem is no easy access for wheelchairs. No handle bars to bathrooms and showers. It should have sensor lights at night outside of the bathroom area.

What an amazing place to stay! I had a cabin not right on the lake but close enough. Very good people running the place and super quiet. The restaurant had great food. Yes, I had to wait a few but I understood the reason why and on top of that I had a great view of the water while waiting for my food. A little on the pricey side for some but well worth it. I came right at the end of summer, so I was still able to rent some kayaks. All around a great place to visit! I will definitely be coming back.

I grew up going to this camp ground every single year for our family reunion, it was such a special place to us, and I’ve carried on the tradition with my own little family now, we’ve gone back several time and our dogs have been almost attacked multiple times by the owners dog that free roams, non the less we went back multiple more times and planned to this weekend, unfortunately we were quoted for $32 but when my fiancés card was charged it was charged for almost $20 more PER NIGHT, when he called back he was told it was a disposal fee… we were tenting.. we asked to cancel our reservation 20 minutes after due to it just being more expensive then we were quoted, we were told they will give us the refund when they can, the next day we called back and no one would answer us and at this point they money they pulled was no longer pending it went through, my fiancè messed the Facebook page and asked when we would get our refund and we were told the employee that quotes us wrong was actually doing us a favor by refunding us the full amount and not keeping the 50% and they would get to it when they get to it basically. My family has paid thousands of dollars coming here for my entire life, my family has gotten senior pictures done here when we live hours away, we have always supporting this camp ground and they truly could care less. We will never ever go there again OR ever recommended it again!! I’ve told so many people to go there and how family friendly it is, but sadly over the years they lost their passion for it and it just became about money. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

I loved the place. Owners were great and the beagle who runs the place is a trip. He is funny and friendly, played with my dog and they stole a steak from me but I couldn't stop laughing at the two thieves cause they had no remorse . I never saw two delinquents have so much fun. Beagle came every day to play with my dog , who missed her friends at the dog park so she really enjoyed him. The food is great, the resort is beautiful with bald eagles fishing right in the cove. Kayaks for rent, clean showers and laundry and lots of kids and local families so the atmosphere is very friendly. Yet at night everybody quiets down, no drunks or loud music. I stayed 3 weeks while exploring the area and fishing. I will go back this year.
