I hesitate to write this review as I feel this spot is a private sanctuary. No portable water or garbage collection means it is not overly used. Sites 1, 2, 4 and 5 sit right on the South Fork of the Boise in their own nature-enclosed spaces. The road is visible from the sites, but you still feel separate from the traffic. Two wood-clad outhouses, picnic tables and fire rings make the experience comfortable. The South Fork of the Boise is already a lesser-known area to camp, and Bird Creek is a sanctuary in this less-discovered territory in an off the grid State.

Wish the campground had drinking water. We had planned to stay at another campground but it was closed and water was not on in the camp ground. Online nothing was posted about the closure. But camp ground was clean and next to the river.

Great spot to camp. Best for tent camping but you can spot a small trailer.
