Beautiful hike, very well marked. Nice boardwalks. Lots of shade. Definite worth a drive to hike this trail.
I love this hike! Always beautiful sights to see. It is fun trying to find wildlife
Theres several feasible spots to set up, but the one with the adjacent bench is convenient and has a fantastic view looking up at the canopy. There's nowhere to really hitch up a food bag, and critters are wont to pass through. Overall, it's a fantastic lil' primitive site, definitely a favorite.
Great place to camp during winter. Includes a fire pit, bench's, 2 picnic table and weather shelter. Lots of wild life, a little busy during weekends. It's 3.1 miles from the East and 4 miles from the West to the trail head. There is a canoe / kayak dock if you choose to paddle in but it'll still be a mile + hike.
