Love this hidden gem. Off the beaten path but close to everything. Reminds me of camping “up north “ — very much like camping at a state or national Forest. It’s a very quiet park, has good Internet, and is friendly. That said, it is not fancy. So for those looking for a true camping type of experience with some modern amenities… This is it!. We are here for an extended period of time and would definitely come back. Staff is great, location is great, neighbors are great.

Spent 3 lovely months here while looking for property in the area. Very quiet and peaceful here. Great little trail in the back for dog walking. Has laundry. Stayed in site 45 on the end, which has a lot of space. It faced the road, but there was very little traffic. Had free high speed Wi-Fi, that was super important, as Verizon, Tmobile and ATT do NOT get signal there. At least at the time of this posting. Hands down the least expensive park in the area, with a good amount of space on sites. It's walking distance to the Outpost bar on Black Creek.

The park is very quiet and reminded me of my campsite in Wisconsin. Erik was there when we checked in. Very pleasant young man and also helpful. My friend and I needed help getting our motorcycles out of the trailer and Carl and his two friends got them out for us! Thanks guys! Phil, the owner, told me of an awesome church in the area and I visited it today and loved it. Hope to see him and his wife there in the months to come. It was very dark at night and the stars were beautiful to see. I like amenities though so after a week I moved to another camp site. Nice location to the beaches, but not so close you have the noise of a lot of people.

Have stayed here for eight months while working in Destin. This is a great campground, with a pleasant atmosphere and friendly full timers. The owners are great to work with too. You will definitely feel at home. I recommend for any short or long term stay, and I look forward to visiting again in the future!

If you like a rural setting then you will appreciate Black Creek. We did not care for the lack of either rock or concrete sites or picnic pad. The entire site is simply sand which gets everywhere. Also, when it rained our camper sat in water up to our ankles because we were in a hole with sand. The park sits very close to the town of Freeport for ease of groceries.
