What a great experience we had at the BLACK HILLS SAWTOOTH CAMPGROUND & CABINS thanks to Jim, Becky and Sadie (the dog). The grounds, the location and the hospitality far exceeded our expectations. We were on our first ever camping trip and Jim and Becky were so helpful. HIGHLY recommended this campground when travelling to the Black Hills. Thank you Jim and Becky for all you help.
The campground is relatively new and the hosts (Jim, Becky & Sadie the dog) were awesome. Very welcoming and full of local information. The campground is quiet, clean, neat and orderly. Jim does a great job with keeping the grounds looking good. Perfect for an overnight stay or long term. The new cabins are almost complete. Full hookups, though it's not a tent campground. Jim and Becky were incredible hosts! Very accommodating campground and close to all the highlights we wanted to hit (Big Bend, Mt. Rushmore, and downtown Custer & Hill City). We even were able to take a bike ride on the local trail. They are working on building cabins which looks amazing as well! Definitely a great stay!
New campground that is awesome. It’s a no frills but it’s in the heart of the black hills so close to everything. The managers are awesome!! This is tucked in a little valley and it’s quiet. We would stay here again! They have cabins being completed in 2024. Full hook ups, fire ring, gravel site with grass area. Amazing views of BlackElk Peak.
Cute little campground, spots are a bit squeezed in, and it’s kinda a pain to pull out on the road if there is traffic, owners are just a delight however and are always happy to help!
Sawtooth was in a great location just outside of hill city and close to other great places to visit. Our spot was everything we needed and was very well kept. Everyone was very kind and we were well taken care of. Becky was extremely helpful and we couldn’t be more grateful!
