Spent a September 3 day weekend here with our troop. The camp site was large enough to hold 50 persons, very dusty. There is a walking and bike path near our the camp site. The parking lot was very large to hold all the vehicles of our group and still had plenty of room to hold a bike rodeo and toss around a football or kick around a soccer ball. The bathrooms were ok. There is no shower or soap, so bring your own I suggest liquid soap; place also needs something like hooks on the walls to hang a towel or clothes.
Serene, clean and many options. Tons of seating, trails to bike or walk and wood area trails too. Bbq areas with shade. Looking forward to summer and renting some equipment. So nice to have in Sac’s backyard… Folsom is literally off highway 50.
As a beginner kayaker/paddle boarder, I love coming here. The water is perfect. The scenery is amazing...there are many birds and other wildlife and even bald eagles!!
A beautiful place that has recently been updated. New clean restrooms, BBQ places, ample shades, steps and pavements that makes easy to walk between parking. And swimming is another fun fact about this place with lifeguard on duty.
A great place for night time kayaking; so long as you’re out by 10pm (when park closes)
