  • "Beautiful campground with lots of different wildlife and amazing stargazing! Kayaking, fishing, hiking, relaxing. Staff was friendly and accommodating. We stayed during the week so there weren't many campers which made for a peaceful experience. Just an hour south of Edmonton, I would say this is a great place to get away from the city!"
  • "We love this campground. We keep going back for the great sites, amazing kayak routes, and huge diversity of birds. They have recently renovated their showers and made them available for free. It's unfortunate that swimming is not recommended and a load of wood now costs $30. They do stock the lake with fish, but the birds usually get to them first. Watch out for the speed bumps that are newly installed, they are rather big for roads that trailers need to travel down. We will keep going back to this campground."

Whether you're an avid outdoor enthusiast or simply looking for a peaceful retreat, Black Nugget Lake Campground offers something for everyone. Plan your visit today and experience the natural beauty and exceptional service that make this campground a favorite among locals and visitors alike.

Family oriented and quiet, HUGE treed lots. A small convenience store, and huge park for all ages. The only set back for us was there is limited sites with water hook up and we didn’t get one. The lake is great for fishing and for the dogs to swim. We had a chance to golf at Coal Creek GC and the greens were in great shape and only 5 minutes away! We definitely will return.

Long site length able to accommodate most trailers plus the site size is about double that elsewhere. Reasonable prices too. Good place for bird watching. Located on an hour SE of Edmonton, so good to run to on the spur of the moment

Its good campground with nice hosts. Sites are slightly larger than average campground. Some sites have good privacy and electric hookup is almost on all sites. It has nice playground. Restrooms are at Main office with flush toilets and coin showers. 1 start less because they could have more water connections so people don't have to go all the way to main office to refill water.
