Customer Reviews
Stayed at Scott’s camground as drive up guests on a road trip coming from Georgia the same day. Scott welcomed us very warmly and we had a great time setting our tent up at this rural and quiet spot. The surrounding nature and the facilities are great! Definitely recommend this spot.
Stayed the night on the way to West Virginia (I know, still a long way to go!) We were the only ones there, so it was very quiet. The spaces are large and you are surrounded by nature, which was very peaceful. Scott was exceeding helpful, even lending us a hose that we forgot! If you want a quiet, rural campsite surrounded by beautiful nature, this is the place for you. We would stay here again. Thank you, Scott!
I came in late, Scott met me and he was great. 10 min from 20. Use google maps to find it, others maps may not work. I am a car camper so my needs are basic, which is what the grounds offer. I have t-Mobile and reception was good enough to do basic internet and make calls. You are near the river and a pond in the wetlands so know at night there are a lot of flying bugs - particularly at night. Put up my window screens and used a red light when I went out. Nice during the day with a lot fewer flying bugs. $10 for a spot was great for my needs. Will come back when I out east from Texas again.
We are 41.6 ft long, 13 ft 5 in tall and 20,000 lbs. Road in its current condition, not big rig friendly. The owner, Scott is very nice and did say due to it being winter and wet, pot holes are big. Summer would be a better time for big rigs. It is very quite, nice grassy area. Close to Vicksburg and I20. Suggest using exit 19 due to low clearance and bridge weight restrictions. Again this is for big rigs.
A great stay as we tent camped from Colorado to Florida. The owner was helpful and never intrusive. He just let us do our thing and we enjoyed nature in peace. Pet friendly which was important. Plenty of areas for a nice hike/walk. River access was cool. Hot shower was great and everything was super clean. We will stay here again on our road trips. Thank you!
