My daughters rented a cabin for my birthday. I was very disappointed and disgusted at how dirty and dusty it was. The beds were comfortable because of the clean bedding, but the dust and dirt every where made the stay very uncomfortable. The carpets are filthy and the chairs and couch are covered in stains. I wish I could give my girls their money back. CLEAN YOUR CABINS THOROUGHLY!

We have been visiting Estes for 8 years and this was our first experience with Blackhawk Cabins as our needs for space have changed as our family has grown. I was disappointed in our accommodations and communication from the owner/manager. When we arrived there were multiple items missing from the cabin. After a few hours of texting, we did receive the items. But communication was not professional and offered no apologies for the inconvenience as I’d usually expect. Our cabin sat very close to a busy road, across from the rest of the cabins and office which was not possible to know from the internet description. The noise from traffic is was too loud for my baby to take naps during the day. We got through our 2 night stay but won’t be returning to this location again.

It was an alright stay! The communication of this place was wonderful for my introverted soul. Everything was done by email and text. They even kept us update for RMNP reservations and the near by fires. The small kitchen was fully stocked with pans and dishes so we definitely made some amazing food with the gas stove. Its like four minutes away from RMNP which was amazing for us. The reason for a star taken off is because one of the beds in cabin 10 was uncomfortable and hard to sleep in.

We stayed here during last fall break and it was perfect. We had two small children traveling with us, and they loved the cabin as well. It was well stocked and very cozy. Perfect location with just being a few minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park and Estes Park. Highly recommend!

I know there are tons of lodging options in Estes park but we really really enjoyed this place! We had a lot of people rent cabins here for our wedding weekend, they were super awesome and accommodating. They let us check in early and even provided a bottle of champagne and a bouquet of flowers in our cabin. (Bride and groom) they also extended quite hours for us even tho we are weren’t being to loud. The cabins are fully equipped with kitchenware and they are really cozy! They are right next to the river and it’s so peaceful. They also have a hot tub and several fire pits. Our guests loved staying there!
