Beautiful views! The sledding is amazing. We had a great weekend there. I'd suggest eating in town rather than the smokehouse (at least for lunch). The brisket french onion soup were good, but wouldn't recommend anything else. Will definitely be back to see what it's like during the summer!

Definitely deserved the 5 stars. The kids had a blast. Just be careful in the snow. The steps get slippery. Very refreshing atmosphere. We built out first snowman here.

Gorgeous waterfalls! I loved that the park is clean and you can tell people are very respectful of nature. There was a deep coat of snow making the place even more magical. Note that the stairs to the overlooks are very slippery so be sure to wear good shoes.

Wonderful! We went in winter and it’s definitely awesome. The roads are in good conditions even during snowstorms. Plows were working constantly, so it’s safe but remember to drive slowly. Entry is free, it’s pet friendly and the views are incredible. There are restroom facilities and food shopping within the park. In December you could see some deers nearby. It’s a great option if you’re traveling from Charleston to Washington- only 1 hour additional.

Gorgeous, well-maintained park. Lots of walking paths and benches for resting and pondering nature. Easy to park. When we were there, they were setting up for an outdoor wedding in one of the scenic areas- super cool, and picturesque. We got lucky and caught the changing fall foliage (early October).
