Dog friendly. This campsite has a community water spigot, kitchen cleaning sink, bathrooms with a toilets and sinks, and dumpsters for garbage. Big campground with easy walking paths to the National Park Trails. This campsite also provides bus services to Bar Harbor, which is also dog friendly! Highly recommend
I really love staying at the Blackwoods campground. The bathrooms are clean, and it’s quiet after 10pm. The amphitheater is a really fun place for stargazing. You need a park pass to camp here, and the camping sites are a bit close to each other.
Amazing campsites, with plenty of room for tents and a cute lil fireplace. The bathrooms were clean and tidy. Highly recommended to stay here if you're visiting Acadia!
Any site near the bathrooms are LOUD. From people walking and talking to and from the bathroom and the toilet flushing, you'll be lucky lucky to get 3 hrs of sleep. To top it off, any site that has the bathroom next to them will also have a walking path adjacent to your campsite.
Beautiful campsite in an old forest. The picturesque "Park Loop Road," a beautiful coastal route, is easily accessible from this campground. There is also a free and direct shuttle from the campground to Bar Harbor. The shuttle runs regularly. The campsites are quite spacious, offering varying degrees of privacy depending on the chosen spot. My three-night stay was very peaceful. However, there are three downsides: there are no showers at this campsite, my site was infested with fire ants that would bite you for no reason when you least expected it, and they don't sell any firewood at the campground. We had to purchase it nearby.
