Had a great time here, spent three nights with my fiance and two dogs. The campground was very dog friendly as we were not the only campsite with dogs. We forgot our print out of the park vehicle pass, and the ranger station was able to print us out a receipt with a QR code from our phones. Save the receipts to your phone before you leave as reception is spotty. The restrooms were clean and they have trash picked up fairly often from the dumpsters.
Always where I stay on my trips to Maine. Quiet, great location, plenty of space at the sites giving some good privacy. Definitely recommend a walk to the cliffs overlooking the ocean.
Loved our 5 days at Blackwoods Campground. Clean, quiet and just perfect. Well maybe showers would have made it really perfect😊. Easy access to ocean sunrise, hiking trails, park loop and carriage trails. We biked everywhere! Staff was lovely as well. Thank you!
I love that I could walk to the ocean every morning and drink my coffee. Close to all the main attractions, the only thing missing are showers which you can find about a 2 minute drive away. I did wake up early to catch the sunrise. It was blocked by otter point but was still gorgeous. The staff is strict and will not tolerate noise after quiet time (10pm) unleashed dogs or late check out. Bathrooms we're clean and rangers were helpful about answering questions.
Blackwoods is a spectacular campground! We stayed on Loop A and walked out to the rocky Maine coast several times. The restrooms are kept clean, and easily accessible. We walked Loop A walking path and it was well marked and beautiful!
