This attention to detail by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers staff directly contributes to a more relaxed and comfortable camping experience, which is particularly valuable for families and those new to camping. The welcoming presence of wildlife, like the deer that frequently roam the grounds, simply adds to the appeal. This place is great for weekend camping trips. Tent sites or RV spots are nicely spaced out and shaded, they didn't have any water/ sewer sites available or they had some for staff members at the Hickory campground. Dump station available also. The nearby beach was great, with 3 volleyball nets, a playground, life jackets available, and a cold shower for sand removal.

The campground was spotless... Bathrooms always clean and campsites spotless. Deer wandered around at all hours of the day. The only problem was the amount of spiders, but that's nature for you.

The RV parking is decent. You can pull your camper in without too much difficulty. The amenities were clean, and the lake was nice. The neighbors in the campground were decent, and quiet hours were kept without too many issues.

I wish there were more full hook-up sites. But it's always clean and safe. The beach nearby isn't bad. The Host and Rangers are extremely friendly. 1000x better than the State Park across the lake.

Nice spread out campsites. They seem level and every site has a fire ring and picnic table and a gravel driveway. Byot (bring your own toilet paper) and soap because the camp staff have not cleaned the restrooms or refilled the tp or soap all weekend. It is packed here too. The beach is crowded and loud music. It is more like a club than a peaceful swimming area.
