Gorgeous, peaceful, and historic. Nicely spaced and maintained campsites. I am disabled and everything was convenient for me as well. Didn't want to leave and cannot wait to return!!!
Incredible campsite! One of my favorites in California. In mid-August is wasn’t very crowded. The campsite felt secluded as tall redwoods surrounded our section. A picnic table, food box, and fire pit were available for a proper campfire dinner. The toilets were close by, but the showers were a trek to get to (although once there, very hot water and clean bathrooms). The campsite is near a trailhead for beautiful redwood hiking.
Awesome place for ⛺️ most of the campsite were covered with never ending red wood 🌲. Roads were good but little narrow at some places. Don’t forget to take mosquitoes repellent and coils.. too many mosquitoes were around. Bathrooms🚽 (no shower) are not very clean. Other then mosquitoes and bathrooms, everything was so awesome. We need to check in at visitor center addition car parking were 10$.
Lots of turns that make you have a slight headache to reach, but it is a very nice campsite. We stayed at Blooms Creek (#103) if you don't like road noise then pick sites 105+ because 103 and 104 are right by the road.
I've been coming to big basin for 40 years. I have many years of us kids on the log in campsite 129 this year we were at 124 and 125. I love having big basin an hour away from me for camping or hiking and the memories my family continues to have. The staff is always friendly
