We stayed weekend of March 7-9, fresh snow on the ground. Cabins were nicely heated when we arrived, clean/heated restrooms. Great water pressure in showers. The mattresses were lowkey comfier than our own bed! Blue Bell was open for us while others we tried prior were not. Can't forget about the gorgeous mountain view 🙂

We loved this campground. It is well maintained, clean, situated in the trees, and the hosts were very friendly. The bathrooms and showers were very nice and the water temp was preset and right on (some places are not). It was convenient for exploring the Park and for leaving headed south. Great experience.

We stayed in Cabin 4 in Blue bell campground. The small cabins are dog friendly. The cabin was clean and in great shape. The cabins are not too close to each other. They have heat, air and electric. My Cabin had six outlets inside and two outside. There is a Fire Ring and a Picnic table. The cabin has a porch with bench style seating. The Camp hosts were very nice. Bathrooms were clean with hot water. Wood was available at a convenience store you could walk too, I drove. The wood was about five dollars a bundle. Make sure you get gas before you get there the only pump they had was six dollars a gallon. There is a lodge there I didn't go in, it looked nice on the outside. You should make the trip around the wild life loop and stop at the Bison center. We saw Bison, Antelope, Mule and prairie dogs. Take a drive down Needles road there are some tight curves and some tight tunnels but it is has beautiful views. Lots of trails and hardly any bugs first of Sept.

This park is amazing! I am blown away as to the quality and amount of amenities and attractions that this simple state park includes. The cabins are awesome 👌. A1 experience, highly recommend you come by and visit. Not only that, but I got the best bison pictures at Custer rather than Badlands and Wind Cave, and they are National parks. Custer State Park is certainly a hidden gem of South Dakota. Will visit again. The site host Andrew was incredible courteous and even suggested a few good scenic routes to take for my travels. Great all around👏
