We reserved campsite #47. The campground is very nice. There are enough vault bathrooms that are kept quite clean. There is a bathroom/shower room building with flush toilets, sinks, outlets, etc. It was immaculate. The campground was nearly full the weekend we were there although it was after Labor Day and the pool was closed. We hiked the Flint Rock Trail. It was deemed moderate and I would agree. We walked it with a few huffs and puffs. It rained the night of our stay. We left at daylight due to continual showers and thunderstorms. I would love to camp there again and explore some of the other trails.

These are great trails both for hiking and biking. There are camp sites with which to rent that have suitable space for tents or RV's. This park is dog and child friendly. There is plenty of space for flying kites, frisbee, cookouts and more. I especially like the east and west observing towers. In the summer months there is a pool and splash pad. The trails are miles long you couldn't possibly see everything in one weekend.

Very nice and quiet campground. First time here and we definitely would come back. We had site 33 and it was very shaded and clean. The bathroom/shower area was always clean and the cleaners were very polite. The east and west towers had amazing views. There's also a small nature center that was nice to go into and learn something. Playground was nice and seemed well maintained.

Camp Site #22 is very nice and away from road noise. The sites are a little bit close together, so you will definitely see and hear your neighbors, so if you have good ones, great! If you have ones with dogs and kids, there's going to be noise. And this is a great campground for kids because there is the nearby Cave of the Mounds attraction, which is why we stayed here. We don't have kids and haven't been to this attraction, so we didn't know it is mainly meant for children. We hiked up to the towers and had great views. During fall when the leaves are changing this is a beautiful place to camp. There is a nearby general store that sells fire-starter, which came in really handy because most of the wood was wet and the Camp Host sign said they had fire-starter, but there wasn't any in the storage area where all the wood was kept. We had a great time biking the trails, going to nearby Military Ridge State Trail, and seeing one neighbor's starry light show at night in their campsite. The bathroom near Site #22 was the biggest, cleanest, and most well-maintained in all the State Parks we've camped in. All in all, a great family campground.

We went for the dog-friendly areas for a quick hike. The trails weren't bad and the moss was fun to spot. Peaceful.
