Where do I begin? Blue Ridge Ranch is one of the most beautiful, serene places I have ever visited. The owners are some of the kindest people, who find ways to make your stay something special. They go above and beyond to ensure you are taken care of in every way and make sure you feel like you belong. The informative site tours were a lot of fun! The creek, waterfalls, animals, and pond were favorites. This exquisite place is one to write home about, for sure. My daughter was able to ride in the bucket train, feed the animals, and paint a rock. (The painted rock was added to the ranch’s rock snake, “Rocky”.) There is something for everyone at Blue Ridge Ranch. We have our Blue Ridge Ranch swag in hand to remember this peaceful place…but…we will definitely be back.

Blue Ridge Ranch is truly a God-given slice of heaven! The sheer beauty of its 440 acres, nestled between majestic ridges with its pastures, ponds, trout streams, and waterfalls, is a testament to His glorious creation. It brought to mind Luke 12:48, where Jesus states, “To whom much is given, much will be required.” Blue Ridge Ranch wonderfully embodies this principle. They have been blessed with such breathtaking land and fantastic facilities – from diverse camping spots to a covered pavilion and commercial kitchen perfect for any gathering – and they are faithfully using it all to serve others. Knowing that every dollar spent here directly supports Hope for His Children and their youth programs makes any visit deeply rewarding. It’s inspiring to see them steward their resources – the land for farming, the beauty for restorative camps, and the facilities for community events – all to make a difference. "The Outpost" store is a delightful bonus, filled with local treasures and ranch goods. For a stunning getaway that also wonderfully reflects Christian values of service and stewardship, Blue Ridge Ranch is an unparalleled 5-star destination! We felt truly blessed by our time here and inspired by their mission.

This review recaps my family’s experience at Blue Ridge Ranch over Father’s Day weekend 2025. TLDR: I can take a joke as good as the next person, but in a public setting, among strangers, there is a certain level of social behavior that is right and wrong. Our experience was damped by the behavior of the owner during our visit. Gorgeous atmosphere, inappropriate leader. Full story: I’ve spent this week deliberating how much detail to go into and for the sake of attention span, I’ll keep it brief. During small talk, the owner made a few statements that revealed his true nature. There were multiple witnesses to the comments I’m going to share. I have no reason to fabricate or do harm to his business, however the nature of the comments is something that I would want to know as a mother considering where to send my kids for camp. The following statements were part of his conversation with our group during our stay: - “Daddy done good, brother.” (Referring to my sister and I) - (after mentioning celebrating my father) “Forget mariachi, I’m talking poles!”, “I’ve got you strippers coming” - My mother mentioned her cancer battle, he says “You know what heals that?” And leans into golf cart for a hug. He looks at my father and says, “You better be careful, I’m going to steal her from you.” - Following ranch “tour”, the children were in the camp store buying fun things to remember the ranch. The owner says to my 13 year old niece, “Do you trust me? Would you do anything I ask you to do?” He was referring to an assignment in exchange for a discounted stay at the ranch. However this line of questioning to a child, was 100% inappropriate and left my niece in tears from the discomfort she felt after the exchange. - After a power outage, the owner comes by on a golf cart. My parents require power for health reasons and solutions were being explored. At one point, the owner looks at my father and says, “Well, she can come sleep with me.” After this final statement, my sister made it perfectly clear that given his inappropriate interactions with our father and others in our family, we would leave in the morning and not return. Again, I get that horseplay and humor have their place, however it’s my opinion that an owner reflects the organization. His reflection on this ranch was telling. The claim is that this is a Christian camp and even hosts the non profit, Hope for His Children. As someone who works in the world of grant funding to non profits, I have a pretty good sniffer for authenticity. My grandaddy would likely say, “This don’t pass the smell test.”

This place is fantastic!!! The staff was incredible and the amenities for both adults and kids were plentiful. Fresh eggs daily, the teepee was great experience, and the tour of the property was fun, entertaining, and educational. We will be back (with more families) this fall. Great job Blue Ridge Ranch.

One of the most beautiful places my wife and I have ever visited. Peaceful and well kept, full of wildlife and everything you might want to do outside is available. The service provided by the owners and staff is beyond anything we have ever experienced. They go above and beyond no matter the request, and make you feel like you are the only people they need to take care of. Go for a long weekend and stay for a week! One word description... unforgettable.
