Resort 66 is such a peaceful place. In fact, the whole island is a paradise. We have been going there for over 20 years. The sunsets are amazing, and the water is very calm most of the time. The resort is small, just 28 rooms, so reservations are hard to get. Accommodations are adequate but not fancy which lends to the charm of that old Florida feeling without highrise and amusement venues everywhere you turn. We love it.
I have stayed here multiple times and look forward to coming back! Nice clean room, thoughtfully renovated. Clean pool and on a beautiful beach! Great location. It is not fancy but very comfortable with a good customer service attitude.
Love the laid back, quiet nature of this resort. As others have noted, this is not a "fancy" place, but we have always found it clean & comfortable & quiet. Furnishings have been updated in the last 2 years, and the entire exterior has been freshened. The beach is amazing and we couldn't be any closer to it ...which is why we love it here. Staff are friendly and helpful, but "wear many hats"...so if not in the office, they are elsewhere helping guests. We look forward to our return every year.
The room itself was cozy. The bed and living area was comfortable and a good size. The dining room and kitchen were smaller than I had hoped and made navigating the room difficult. The spa and pool were warm, just perfect for swimming. There was a brown recluse found in our room though, which bit a friend of mine. The stay overall though was nice.
This is a great little resort. We loved the pool and courtyard with grills and picnic tables. Having a kitchen in each unit is so nice. The staff and fellow vacationers were all extremely friendly. The proximity to the beach cannot be beat. We will definitely be back!
