This is probably the best camping area in the entire state park!!! Plenty of shade at every campsite!!! The views of Broken Bow Lake are stunning from everywhere!! Quick skip down hill to the amazing water with the coolest quartz and shale everywhere!!!! And the Outhouse is kept so clean, no smell, and well stocked!!!! Definitely my favorite area
Campsite 4 was very nice. The lowest and perhaps the most accessible in the Bluejay circle as the others require transversing a steap drive. Also, in shade for much of the afternoon and plenty of proper space from the light pole for the compost toilet just a quick walk away. Lastly, I believe all the gravel tent spots were 13’ x 13’ and this one could easily accommodate our larger tent size, but other folks in our group had to pitch outside of the gravel tent area due to that smaller footprint..
Absolutely beautiful camping spot! We stayed at B11 tent camping and loved it. We were right above the water and a short walk down to swim and fish. It was quiet and secluded. Camp sites were well spaced apart. This was a 7hr drive for us, but we’ll definitely be making the trip back.
Beautiful and well kept. Showers and bathrooms are available. A great family or couple outing
Worst camp site I've ever experienced. Pros - good view of the lake, close to the bank, clean outhouse. Cons - the campsites are on top of each other. We reserved site #10 and we had people set up a tent less than 8ft away. Sounds terrible? Well combine that with people showing up at 11pm at night to set up camp and start drinking. Three sites were crammed into what should have been the space for one site. Not only that but #10 didn't even have its own fire pit. If you value any sense of personal space, ignore the positive reviews and find another place to camp.
So peaceful!! I really loved this campsite! It had everything you’d wish for camping by a lake in the forest. I took several images of the campgrounds (check it out). The outhouse was clean and a short walk from the grounds. Each ground had a fire pit, grill, lamp pole, and tent site. Not all sites are directly approachable by car, but it’s close to park next to the tent site. Lovely spot with amazing views.
Pretty nice campground. Outpost bathroom is well maintained.
