Hidden gem! The bluff springs are beautiful. A great example of travertine deposits at the point where a waterfall drops. The trail up the hill to the various spring sources is very cool too! Road to the bluff springs is gravel but very smooth and well maintained.

Cloudcroft is my favorite place to go. It’s always cooler than the rest of southern New Mexico, a place you can go and be completely disconnected, because your cell phone does not work in a lot of places, especially Bluff Springs where we always go to camp. However, OSHA Trail does have cell service And is a great family hike.

Great waterfall to visit. To get there is a long dirt/rocky road. Lots of grazing cows on the road so you must take it nice and slow. Once you get there, hiking the stairs to find the source of the waterfall is fairly easy. Was able to do it with out 4, 6 and 13 year old boys. They loved the little river and we continued to follow until until we found where it came out of the mountain. It was amazing. So happy we made the drive out to find it.

Nice and secluded location that doesn’t get heavy visited as much as other trails in the area. Last bit of the road is dirt, I’ve seen small compact cars get thru just fine (I wouldn’t take a car on a rainy day). They have some restrooms available at the parking before trail head. I’ve been here on numerous occasions, best time is morning ish and during the week. I can usually get the whole area to myself.

Great place to stretch out the legs and enjoy a scenic hike. Nice spots to "primitive camp" as well with a good outhouse with water.
