Situated along the serene Zumbro River in Zumbro Falls, this campground distinguishes itself by combining natural beauty with an impressive array of recreational activities and amenities, making it a highly attractive choice for families, groups, and individuals seeking a vibrant and engaging camping getaway. It is well-regarded for its commitment to providing entertainment for all ages, truly embodying the spirit of a vacation destination rather than just a place to park an RV or pitch a tent.

The environment at Bluff Valley Campgrounds is defined by its strategic location within the "Bluff Country" of Southeastern Minnesota. The campground is tucked away in a beautiful valley, flanked by the characteristic steep bluffs and the gentle flow of the Zumbro River. This provides a scenic backdrop for all camping activities, offering a mix of open, grassy sites and areas with some natural shade provided by mature trees. Many sites are situated along the river, providing direct access to the water and picturesque views. The overall atmosphere is lively and family-oriented, especially during peak season, reflecting the numerous activities and events that take place. Despite the active atmosphere, the natural setting along the river and amidst the bluffs allows for moments of tranquility and connection with nature. Campers can enjoy the fresh country air, the sounds of the river, and the diverse flora and fauna that thrive in this unique geological region. The expansive nature of the grounds ensures that while there's plenty of activity, there's also space for relaxation, embodying a harmonious balance between adventure and serenity.

The services provided at Bluff Valley Campgrounds are extensive, ensuring a comfortable and convenient stay for all types of campers. The campground boasts a significant number of sites, with approximately 275 offering water and electric hookups. These include both "Standard" sites (typically up to 35' wide with 20/30 amp electric and one water spigot) and "Premium" sites (larger, 65' wide with 20/30/50 amp electric and two water spigots). While direct sewer hookups are not available on every site, a complimentary dump station is provided for departing guests, and mobile dumping services for grey and black water are available for a nominal fee. Each campsite comes equipped with a picnic table and a fire pit (note: sites do not have grills), essential for outdoor dining and campfires. Clean restrooms and hot showers are readily available throughout the campground. A well-stocked camp store and office serve as central points for check-in, information, and purchasing necessities like firewood (outside firewood is typically not allowed to prevent the spread of invasive species). The campground also features a bar, which serves as a hub for certain activities and offers refreshments. Wi-Fi access is generally available, though its reach and speed may vary depending on location within the large campground. The staff at Bluff Valley Campgrounds are often praised for their friendliness and helpfulness, contributing significantly to a positive guest experience.

Pricing is structured with daily rates for "Standard" and "Premium" sites, and special vacation packages, such as "pay for 6 nights, get 9 nights," are often promoted to encourage longer stays. Have been coming here for years! An adorable campground right on the river for tubing. Big cozy sites with hookup. Very kid friendly with a park, pool, game room, rock wall, skate park, and even a paint your own ceramics area. They offer a little store that has merch, necessities, ice, ice-cream and ticket trade from the game room for goodies. At night they offer fun such as bingo and bands with a dance floor. Staff is AMAZING!!!!!!💛💛
