My husband and I took an RV from Florida up to NY and this is the one place I was looking forward to staying and it did not disappoint. It was one of the most peaceful, beautiful, and clean places we've ever stayed. The wildlife was surely the star. You can interact with wild bunnies, all manner of ducks, and never get bored of the view. The facilities are CLEAN and there are so many workers who are always busy working and helping out guests. A+.
Very pretty campground, lots of shady sites, wildlife everywhere, beautiful views on each side and nice trails. Crystal clear water in freshwater swimming and fishing areas. Dog friendly. Loved seeing all the resident bunnies hopping about in the evenings. Seemed to be a bit rowdy on the weekends though, people breaking park rules and not much staff to be seen. Men's room stayed messy.
I'm giving a rating of a 1 to the staff in the office. I made a reservation for 2 weeks here and when I got to the office they told me what site I was on so I went to it after I paid for it. I've never been here because I'm from NC traveling and camping. I get to my site and there is no shade but I set-up anyway. I have seen many vacant sites for 4 days now. There has been a few campers that have stayed a night or 2 and then left. What I don't understand is why I was given a site with no shade for 2 weeks. Apparently if your not a Georgia resident you don't get any respect. The campground is amazing so that I rate a 5 but the staff in the office a 1!!!!!! I will never come back here again!! And they give I refunds!!! They made sure they told me that the day I checked in!!
I called a couple of weeks ago to book a site at Blythe for last weekend, spoke to a not so friendly staff member and was told they were booked, I understood that, it was last minute. I looked online last Wednesday for site availability and since it did show some available for this weekend I booked those dates instead. I got a confirmation email when I booked and the email stated I would get a second email when my reservation was accepted. I never got a second email so this Tuesday I called to confirm since it had been almost a week. I spoke to Nancy in the office. She told me I didn’t get a second email because there were no sites available. That was it. So you don’t get an email letting you know that. You figure that out when you don’t hear anything at all leaving you no time to find something else. I don’t usually write Google reviews but I’ve called and spoke to staff there twice and they are very unfriendly. My cousin books a site there for a month in the summer and loves the park but also said the staff is not helpful or friendly at all. She said her husband will only talk to one staff member in particular because the rest can be rude. I would suggest however anyone wanting to book here actually call to make sure you get the reservation. Booking online is not reliable at all.
A few beautiful spots to photograph from. Very friendly folks too
