Enjoyed our stay here at the County park to camp. We stayed 3 nights. Water/ Elec with Dump station on your way out. Restrooms were clean - not sure about showers but I think there was a small fee. Camp is right next to Floras Lake which was very nice. You can walk out to the beach just outside the camp, over a small bridge. We tried riding bikes but the sand was quite thick & we ended up walking bikes to the dunes & walked to the beach.
Great little campground. Online reservations but you can pay cash/check for walk ins for one night only. Trails and day use area. We were in tent site 38 which was shaded but very close to neighbors. Small campground but the hosts are attentive and great.
Great place just about 3 miles from highway 101. Beside of Floras Lake is a natural 236-acre body of water on the southern Oregon Coast of the United States. Fed by four small tributaries from a basin
Great campsite with lake views and walking distance to the ocean. So great hearing the roar of the ocean at night! Very clean.
Traveling the west coast all the way from Oklahoma in our RV. Booked 2 nights originally and we liked it so much we ended up staying a full week! Great prices and has all the amenities you need (water, electric, dump, showers, laundry, dog park). So peaceful and such an amazing campground. Next to a lake and next to that is the beautiful Pacific Ocean. Staff were really friendly and kept the place clean and organized. Horseshoes, fire pits, dog park, trails, quiet campground, amazing view of the sky at night and sounds of waves in the distance. This campground is truly a gem and I hope to come back one day. 5 stars.
Loved staying here. We needed a place to camp and showed up here just an hour before sunset and there was plenty of room for a tent site. Theresa and her husband are great hosts! My husband even cut himself pretty good and her husband (a paramedic) doctored him up lol! The grounds are pretty, the bathrooms were very clean and well kept. Be sure to have cash if you are walking in for a same night reservation and wanting to buy a bundle of firewood.
A gem of a campground. Adjacent to Floras Lake...which offers some of the best wind sports on the west coast. The grounds are well maintained, facilities are usually spotless. Inner sites have power and water connection , outer sites don't. There is a dump station available. This campground offers amazing sunset views, easy hike to the beach and access to Blacklock Point trail. Basic supplies available in Langlois at the market (world famous hot dogs!)...a bit further to either Bandon (north) or Port Orford (south) if you need something more substantial. The summer is busy...make reservations...as the place fills up with wind surfer's! The camp hosts are awesome and always available to help. Update June 2023 A change in camp hosts has changed the feel of this place...still a must stay place if your into wind sports but the summer rates have gone up dramatically and although there appears to be camp hosts on site you never see them!! The bathrooms aren't quite as clean...one trip to the Men's revealed no TP...the fire rings have been filled with trash (every time we have come anyway)...just not the same feeling as before. Set your expectations a notch lower and you'll still be satisfied... Update July 23 Much of the same problems but nothing that would keep me away...other than the cost!! Cancellation policy now revised to make refunds not an option for cancelling closer to arrival...oh well.
