Great trail. Kid friendly and even has a natural track that you can use if you don't feel like venturing onto the path. The boy scout bridges are beautiful and in very strategic spots. Can't wait to go back.
Nice place for walking leisurely by the river or hiking in the hills.
Went there for a track meet... parking was a nightmare ... once we finally got to the entrance a rude lady told me I can't bring my dog in... I told here we did on our last meet there... she pointed to the sign... and said "see no dogs" once my husband got inside with my son... while I missed his run... my family counted 9 dogs at the meet.... my complaint is either all gate keepers have the same info and enforce the same rules... or not.. it was very upsetting!! Thanks rude girl for ruining my afternoon ! Added photo... looks like a dog to me!!
Nice secluded park for short distance, no elevation walking or running. The trail portion is actually located past the furthest parking lot from the entrance (not where it is showing on the map) and is gravel-based for most of the way except the very back part. It is a bit difficult to see the river from the trail if there is any foliage, but there is one portion that has an open view near the beginning. There's also sports facilities that look to be open to the public as well. Believe there are also trails that go off the main one into more wooded areas, but did not venture on to those as it was muddy from previous rain.
We had a good time at the Indian festival. It was not very big like expected, but nice overall.
