Oh how would have loved to stay for several more days! Bonneville camp ground had nice sites, plenty of room for our pair of tents. This is the perfect camp to listen to the river and the wind blow through the trees, while watching butterflies and chipmunks. The camp host was a kind older man with a playful sense of humor. This is an especially nice camp considering the proximity to the hot spring. It sure is nice to be able to night cap at the hot springs and also to get up for the sun rise at the hot spring.
Great campground, went in mid October and had the hot springs to ourselves. The hot springs are amazing, only a couple spots to sit deep enough in.
Campgrounds here were closed when I walked through and still snowed under but the trail to the hot springs on the back side was do-able. I really enjoyed making my own spot to soak using the river rocks to decide how hot or cold I wanted it! No one else around but one wolf I saw through the trees so I was able to soak alone without clothes changing issues! Highly recommended as this is past “Kirkham” the supposed “place to go!” Yea...screw that noise.
Very Private, hook ups and trees..... Didn't feel right for a single mom living alone but if you want privacy and no outside interference this is the spot! Also good spot for dogs
These were awesome Hot Springs . It's 1.5 mile hike from the main road so not many people here . It was still cold when I came .
