Our family camped here mid September after enjoying our earlier stay in June. The grandkids love the pool, playground as well as the goats & donkeys they fed. We booked a spot closest to the cow pasture for the best view. Our grandkids loved seeing the cows come to graze in the area once or twice a day. We had absolutely no issues with cow patty smells. Everyone walking their dog in the area was considerate and cleaned up after their dog. Our four grandkids ran in the field designated for pet walking multiple times with no instances of poop on shoes. The restrooms at the store are spacious and clean offering three shower stalls all with a private dressing area. If you’re lucky enough to be camping when the fresh loaves of sourdough bread are available for purchase, you must grab a loaf or two! It’s fantastic! The staff were super friendly during both visits. We will be back!

The staff are super helpful and nice. Most sites are at least a bit shaded but everyone found a way to connect to their satellites. Wifi is fine, not great. Showers and baths are clean with good water pressure even though they are a bit dated. On site putt putt is designed for little ones but made me feel very accomplished. LOL. Grounds are nice and attended to frequently. Lots to do within driving distance.

After many years of camping up at the Boone KOA, it still is the best, most relaxing and enjoyable place to camp. You won't be disappointed. Simple but has everything you need. Quiet, peaceful, a few donkeys and even a cow or two in the distance. Just a great place.

Had plans to be there the weekend after the Hurricane, for obvious reasons we didn't make it. We were honored with a refund of our deposit with out a request, I was surprised and thankful. Looking forward to getting another reservation on the books when your beautiful area is put back together. Stay Safe and Thanks!

Campground was clean and appeared to be well cared for. Our site is a pull through with noce new gravel and a newer retaining wall. Nice picnic table and a small fire pit. The site is a bit tight for our 35' fifth wheel and our truck, but we squeezed them in. The site is only a little out of level, so we were able to easily level the rig up. Not far from Boone, NC, but very quiet and secluded in the hills.
