Boot Hill RV Park Introduce
Welcome to Boot Hill RV Park, located at 1 Dog Ranch Rd, Alamogordo, NM 88310. As a part of the 'Campgrounds & RV Parks' category, this RV park offers a friendly and convenient camping experience in the desert.
Boot Hill RV Park is known for its excellent value and super friendly management. Guests consistently praise the low-fuss experience and the welcoming atmosphere. The park's location is particularly interesting, as it is situated directly across the street from the famous "big pistachio" farm, offering a unique local attraction.
The park is well-suited for big rigs, with ample space to accommodate large RVs. Guests have reported that even rigs nearly 60 feet in total length fit comfortably. The park also boasts great views of the surrounding desert landscape.
However, one notable drawback is the dust, which is to be expected given the park's desert location. While some guests suggest that paving a few sites would improve this issue, the overall experience remains positive.
Recent changes in management have been well-received, with a young couple now running the park and providing excellent care and a welcoming environment. The park could benefit from some minor updates, but its friendly atmosphere and convenient location make it a popular choice for repeat visitors.
Boot Hill RV Park offers friendly management, good value, and a convenient location near the pistachio farm. It is ideal for big rigs with great desert views, but be prepared for dust.
For inquiries or reservations, you can contact Boot Hill RV Park at (575) 439-6224 or +1 575-439-6224. When booking, consider the desert environment and potential dust.
Customers highlight the friendly management, good value, and convenient location, but also note the dust as a potential drawback.

Very good value. Super friendly manager. Low fuss experience. Location is interesting, right across the street from the big pistachio. We ended our drive from AZ with a pistachio ice cream cone, then hopped across the street to the RV park. Only negative was the dust. Not surprising considering it’s in the middle of the desert. But if they ever have the budget, I’d suggest paving a few of the sites. Bottom line: I’d stay there again.
We stay every year and as always we love it. Last time was a little rocky due to management, but since then they've gotten new folks, a young couple, that run it now who made us feel welcomed and took care of us well. We have a big rig almost 60 feet in total and the site fits us just fine. Could use some minor updates around the park itself but overall it's a wonderful park with great views and in a great location for visiting the surrounding areas.
The park was gravel and leveled which made it easy to get settled in quick. Check in was quick and easy and the manager Aaliyah recommended some places to see during our visit as well as some local food joints. We chose Si Senors per her recommendation and it was delicious! She also let us borrow four of the sand dune sleds for our trip to white sands which saved us like $25 a pop! (If you have kids and plan to make it to the national park we highly recommend them) The cherry on top of our visit were the beautiful sunsets and the view of the stars before hitting the hay. Great park with beautiful views, clean facilities, great customer service, and we felt safe with the park being gated! Oh and did I forget to mention the park is literally shaped like a cowboy boot!? How stinkin cute!! Loved it here will return !!
What a jewel in the desert! Very clean, friendly and easy to find. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Very nice well maintained park. Would recommend. Aleea at the front desk is great. Sites are gravel with good space pull thru. Roads are gravel and wide to pull in and out. No trees which we prefer. About 20 miles to town, a few more miles to White Sands National Park. Pistachio Land is across the street with the best ice cream. Quiet area, not too bad for being on Rt 70. Good price, 10% Good Sam. Enjoy the pistachios!
