Really great campground! Awesome amenities such including new pool area, mini golf, playgrounds, sand volleyball, onsite restaurant, camp store and many flavors of hard scoop ice cream! We were there over Labor Day weekend and they had TONS of activities all weekend.
I am only giving 3 stars because of the Gravel Dust we had to endure for 3 days. Gravel roads and Golf Carts do not make for a pleasant experience. I have been home for 2 days and still cleaning everything. Oh I should say it was quiet and facilities were clean. If the owners gave a little thought to the Gravel they would take 1 of those golf carts and put 50 gal tank of water on it and spray the road 2 to 3 times a day. Then maybe get 5stars.
Rented one of the rustic cabins over the weekend for a motorcycling adventure in the area. The cabin itself was great, being priced reasonably with working AC and decent mattresses. We interacted with a manager of the grounds named Samantha who was very accommodating for us and our bikes. She also personally prepared / cooked food for visitors, which was cheap and tasty. This campground stood out to me because it is family-run and the people working are passionate about keeping the place attractive to visitors. The train horns at night are a little bothersome, but as someone who lives in a city, this didn't bother me in the cabin with the windows shut. Would definitely return again, as overall we had an exceptional experience in the area.
Very nice and clean campground, great camp store and amenities. Only down fall is no WiFi at campsites, only at the store and almost no cell service at all. Outside of that I would highly recommend.
The campground itself is beautiful and well-maintained. The staff are nice. The groundskeeper starts a little too dang early in the morning. They were cleaning out fire pits at 8:00 on Monday morning. The other negative is right across the street are too active railroad tracks that run all hours of the day. The trains woke me up a lot at night.
