Boulder Creek Campground Introduce
Nestled in the heart of California, Boulder Creek Campground is a hidden gem for outdoor enthusiasts seeking a tranquil escape. This campground offers a perfect blend of natural beauty and comfortable amenities, making it an ideal destination for campers, RV travelers, and nature lovers alike.
The campground features well-spaced campsites, each equipped with a fire ring, over-the-fire grill, and picnic table, ensuring a cozy and convenient stay. While some sites are closer together, they are thoughtfully arranged to provide a sense of privacy. The surrounding tree cover offers shade, creating a pleasant atmosphere even on sunny days.
One of the highlights of Boulder Creek Campground is its proximity to a stunning lake, just a short walk or drive away. The lake boasts clear, refreshing water, perfect for swimming, fishing, or simply soaking in the serene views. Nature lovers will appreciate the chance to spot wildlife, including the occasional bald eagle soaring overhead.
While the campground embraces a rustic charm, it doesn’t compromise on cleanliness and comfort. The well-maintained bathrooms are a testament to the care taken to ensure a pleasant experience for all visitors. However, it’s worth noting that there is no cell service, which can be a blessing for those looking to disconnect and fully immerse themselves in nature.
Here’s what some of our satisfied customers have to say:
- "Decent campground with fairly spaced out campsites. It was very quiet, and we even spotted a bald eagle a few times!"
- "We really enjoyed it here! The campsites are cute and comfortable, and the lake was absolutely beautiful."
- "The bathrooms were really well taken care of, and the campsites provided enough privacy despite being close together."
While the campground is a peaceful retreat, visitors should be prepared for a few rustic touches, such as the absence of bear boxes and a single dumpster located at a neighboring campground. Additionally, some guests noted the presence of bugs and the occasional sound of a generator at night. However, these minor inconveniences are easily outweighed by the campground’s natural beauty and relaxing ambiance.
Whether you’re planning a weekend getaway or an extended stay, Boulder Creek Campground promises a memorable experience surrounded by California’s breathtaking landscapes. Pack your gear, leave your worries behind, and come discover the charm of this hidden oasis.

Customer Reviews
Decent campground with fairly spaced out campsites. No bear boxes and only one dumpster located at the other campground for trash. Was very quiet and spotted a bald eagle a few times. Short walk or drive to the lake. Some tree cover which provided some shade. Only complaint is the camp host kept the generator running all night long. Lots of bugs at this campsite and no cell service(could be good or bad depending on the person)
We really enjoyed it here! Cute and comfortable little campsites with a fire ring, over the fire grill and picnic table. The campsites are pretty close together in some parts but far enough apart that you've got some privacy. The bathrooms were really well taken care of. The lake was absolutely beautiful with clear water and perfect temperature. Would highly reccomend!
Great campground, if you come from the Chico area, it is a long graded dirt road. Preload your GPS before leaving home as there is no cell reception.
Great visit. The lake is awesome. The camp sites are spacious and spread out nicely. Will definitely return.
We had alot of fun! Bathrooms were always clean.
