Looking for a campground experience in the Campgrounds & RV Parks category near you? Consider Boulder Creek Campground, situated at Baker Lake Rd, Concrete, WA 98237, USA. You can reach them at (541) 338-7869 or +1 541-338-7869 for inquiries and bookings.
Based on recent feedback, Boulder Creek Campground offers a unique environment characterized by near-total shade and spacious sites. Many sites provide access to a creek, offering scenic views that include Mount Baker. The campground is described as having a generally primitive feel, which may appeal to those seeking a more rustic outdoor experience.
However, potential visitors should be aware of some considerations mentioned by previous campers. One review noted a discrepancy in the perceived distance of campsites from parking areas based on the campground map, specifically mentioning site #9 being significantly further than indicated for site #10. Another camper reported an issue with the availability of toilet paper in the restroom during their stay.
Regarding specific campsites, feedback suggests that parking and leveling may vary. Site #10 is described as a shallow "pullout style" spot next to the road with a 25-foot RV length limit, which might feel exposed due to its proximity to traffic, albeit minimal. While a 20-foot campervan reportedly fit, a 25-foot RV might find it tight. For tent campers at site #10, the tent area is a bit of a walk from the parking, which some may appreciate for the added sense of seclusion.
Another review mentioned that Site 3, a "back-in" site, appeared very shallow and not level. The general impression from this review was that many sites at Boulder Creek Campground might not be level and could be better suited for tent camping. This camper ultimately chose to stay at the nearby Park Creek Campground due to more level sites, better creek access, newer restrooms, and a hiking trail.
If you appreciate a shaded, more primitive camping experience with creek access and views, Boulder Creek Campground could be a consideration. However, it's advisable to inquire about specific site conditions and restroom facilities when making your reservation, keeping in mind the feedback regarding parking, leveling, and potential maintenance aspects.

Not a bad campsite but the campsite map makes it appear that #10 is the longest walk from the car but #9 was twice as far. My only complaint was no TP in the restroom on my last day of an 8 night stay. It still didn't have any when I left at 9:45 so I left a spare roll I brought just in case. Lol
This is totally our kind of campground - near-total shade, sites are far apart, with creek access AND a view of Mount Baker from the creek. The CG had a very primitive feel, and that's generally OK with us, but overall it gave the impression of being neglected and could use an update. We have a campervan and site 10's shallow "pullout style" parking spot right next to the road made us feel exposed (even though traffic was minimal). Site 10 has a 25-foot RV length limit. Our 20 ft campervan did fit, but I think someone with an actual 25 foot RV would say it's too tight. If you have a tent, it's a bit of a walk from the parking spot to the tent area, but I personally consider that a plus - you really feel alone out there. Side note that as we drove through we saw that Site 3 (a "back-in") looks extremely shallow and very much not level - I don't recall specifics of other sites except that most seemed to be not level and more geared toward tent camping. I have to confess that we ended up driving down the road a bit and staying at the Park Creek campground because its sites were more level, the creek was more accessible (from some but not all sites), the restroom was brand new, and there's a casual hiking trail (formerly FR1144) directly at the end of the campground.
Group site 1 is awesome! It's very spacious and has a bathroom at the site (it is shared with other sites, but it's at the edge of the group site). It's very private and secluded being in a separate area from the other camp sites. Make sure everyone in your group knows where it is as you don't turn in at the main entrance, it's just past it. There is zero cell service up there. We had an awesome weekend and would totally go back! Also there are tons of other campgrounds near by that have access to Baker Lake which was nice.
A superb campsite tucked a bit above baker lake the campsites facing the river have access to it via very steep climbs, they are tenting sites only, unless you get the other side that has a bit of a drive in space (20 ft or less!). Camp8ng is amongst an old growth forest with huge trees towering above you they make for an amazing experience
One of the more primitive sites, not having water, and just a vault toilet, but a great place to get away. The stream provides constant background noise if you like that sort of thing (which I do).
