Beautiful camp sites situated next to a picturesque mountain lake. Perfect for swimming in the summer. The water is clear and refreshing, but not cold. Bugs weren't too bad in mid July. Great hiking trails in the area as well. We did the loop hike up to Bonny Meadow, which I would definitely recommend. We were there for a Saturday night and it was somewhat busy, but definitely not crowded.
Nice, short and easy hike up to the lake, beautiful scenery! Ran into a lot of snow on the road leading up to the trail head, so just be aware it is tough to get to the trail head by vehicle this time of year.
This is my favorite camping spot in Oregon so far. Every time I've been it has been beautiful. A small and quiet lake with a beautiful ridge behind it. The camping spots are about a half mile in from the trailhead. A few trees have fallen across the trail and are moderately easy to get over. It's worth noting that there are a lot of deer that like to rummage through camp supplies for food. Not so bad unless you have dogs that stay up all night growling at the deer.
Road up to the trailhead has some pretty serious potholes in it, and several fallen trees. 1/2 mile hike to the lake is not too bad. Several spots to set up camp around this small lake.
A small pretty mountain lake in a somewhat remote area. Hike the trails in surrounding forest and through rocky slopes up to Bonney Meadow about 800ft above.
