Well I'm sure glad to see that other people are finally coming out to voice their experience. I initially was scared to post something in fear of never being able to return. I've been going here since we were kids and had hoped my children could ride here as well. But it's not looking like so? Extremely rude, this is a campground and should not be treated like a concentration camp. Gate codes? Curfew? Direction of vehicles? You might as well start charging for sand?! Oh wait you guys do.. I don't want to point fingers here but if the owners stay on-site then you are running this site poorly and maybe rethink accommodating over greed. it will eventually catch up. If it is just the hosts then the guy running it and his family all need proper training. We were also threatened by this guy, and his kids. We were told not to do things that they were allowed to do. This place is out of control?! Vicious dogs at the little store is not inviting, being threatened by the host wasn't welcoming and being threatened to not be allowed to return if we say anything? There are several campgrounds that are close and your better off staying away from here. If you are 60+ that doesn't ride, does not have a dog, do not have children and like being told what time to blow out the lantern then thus may be your new campground!!! *I will follow up if the owner or host want to take accountability and make this right* (summer 2024)

Use to love it here, the new camp hosts are terrible, don't even try to have guests visit its a nightmare! You have to give 48 hours notice for guests to have extra code which you pay for, showers are extra fee, camp spots are way expensive, voice video cameras in your sites off of light posts so theycan listen to your conversations, host tried to fight with my 18 year old nephew over a gate code.. don't stay here it's awful

This will be the last time coming here after doing large family vacations at this camp ground for the last 8 years. The camp hosts were absolutely AWFUL!!!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS CAMP GROUND! They literally were SCREAMING at our children, for doing absolutely nothing wrong. You have no right to scream at someone else's children that aren't yours. They do not have "keep out" signs posted anywhere, but yet expect our children to know where they can and can't go? So instead of nicely telling our kids, "hey your can't be over here" you scream and belittle them? Absolutely NOT okay. This is not a family friendly campsite anymore. I hope the camp hosts get fired and they bring someone new in. They don't even bother cleaning up the bathrooms, they were absolutely a mess each time we went to use them. They were horrible to us adults too. The camp host played "keyboard warrior" and would text at ALL hours of the day if they felt as if we were not doing something exactly perfect. I definitely felt like we were being targeted our whole trip, they can't even follow the rules they set for the camp ground, but expect everyone else to. The location is amazing, but these hosts absolutely ruined it. We will be going to the KOA from now on. Where they actually care about the children and actually have full hookups for the price we are paying.

This might be a nice place, but I'll never know. I showed up at 9:00 p.m. with no reservation. Called the number from the gate and got dicked around for about 30 minutes until finally they told me to just give up and drive away. Ended up at Riley Ranch. I would highly recommend them. Super easy. They got open spots where you can just show up a boxcar campground needs to hire new help.

October 25! Rain in the forecast for most of the weekend but we had this trip planned for our friend’s birthday rain or shine…. Had the place to ourselves for sure… Weather was better here than at home In town so we lucked out! Reading the reviews from recent previous visits about camp hosts being disrespectful and whatnot … we did NOT have that experience. I can see however that this place FULL can be chaotic and that rules and regulations should be strict.. the text AND email features before/during our stay was VERY detailed and descriptive… Especially the STRICT check in/out times and the fact that each vehicle MUST have its own gate code for coming IN & OUT I understood the rules clearly and I’m glad I took the time to prepare myself If this were my business I feel I’d see the importance of similar rules.. Last time I was in this park was UTVTAKEOVER the previous year.. this weekend was a 180 experience for sure.. As far as direct dune access at desirable locations this one is great! It’s private property compared to state, county or federal parks which has it benefits imo I like the bridge and bay views and I love that it’s so quick to get to town My ONLY comment is that I had a hard time referring back/forth to find my various codes (bathroom , gate, WiFi etc) between TEXT and EMAIL I’m getting used to paying $80/night at full hookup Rv sights… been duning for years dry camping, airing down the tires on my motorhome and driving into the sand with the entire FLEET! The amenities at the park are nice after all these years, Showers, WiFi, sewer, trash dumpsters 50amp service and still ride right out on the sand! I’ll BE BACK
