Such a fun, family friendly campground. We stayed last weekend, it was our second time there. They have added a cute Tiny Town that my son is still taking about. The cabin was clean, warm and provided plenty of space for our family of 3. The bathrooms are immaculate. There a playgrounds, an obstacle course, a game room, and a coffee trailer just to name a few things to do. The kids will love it!
Great location near the Bradenton motorsports park, just wish the “owner” didn’t pull the owner card and speak disrespectfully when asked by his guests to slow down around the campsite in his red Jeep or white work truck.
We have stayed at this campground a few times and is one of our favorites however this time is different. This is the first time we stayed in the bamboo area in the back, which is a shell campsite. We arrived at night and found that our site was surrounded by water, mud and soggy ground. This was our first time using our new camper and was not looking forward to tracking mud inside. It’s so bad when you step out of the camper you are nearly standing in muddy water. There has been quite a bit of rain the last week or so but these sites are not setup for the rainy seasons of Florida. We booked for 3 nights but will be looking to cancel or move our trip to another weekend, luckily we only live an hour away and didn’t travel a long distance. If you book the Bamboo area, do your self a favor and check the recent weather or ask the front office the conditions. These sites were not built up, it’s low lying areas that they’ve tried to fix by digging drainage around each site. The other issue is the water and power is on the front of the site rather to the back or middle. I had to unhook my truck from the camper so my truck wasn’t sticking in the road. I couldn’t back to the rear of the site because my power cord would not reach. This seems to be a poor design on these sites. Again we have had several visits here staying under the oaks and love it but these sites in the back are not ideal for someone with kids and dogs unless you want mud everywhere. If you plan to stay in your RV the whole time then you will be good.
Such a great place! We stayed in one of the log cabins and it was nice and clean! The cabins have a/c and a mini fridge too! Driving around the campsite, we learned that the covered wagons even have A/C (the website didn't give that detail). The bathrooms were clean and the showers were great. There's even a laundry facility. Also extra bonus that I noticed was that each cabin site had an outdoor water bib and picnic table. We went during the slow season and off hours, so we didn't get to experience any of the fun things to do but it all looked great! The property was all very well maintained and the extra touch of splashes of colors with annual flower beds was great! This is the perfect place for a family with elementary aged kiddos to get away to for a fun weekend retreat that won't break the bank but will create lots of great memories!
Not a positive experience. . In a new section of this park. No full hookup in a brand new section? Big drainage ditch at the bottom of our stairs. We had to buy plywood to get out of our RV. Site was too small. We had to back into bamboo.. We trimmed the bamboo but we still had to park our truck in the grass. Upper keypad to get into park is broken. Pot holes at entrance. Lock on dog park rusted shut,. We’ve camped here before and it was nice. They did a horrible job on the new sites..It rained and our stairs were underwater. Our whole carpet was full of fire ants in the morning . My feet were in sandals because I was standard in water.
What a fun place! Take your kids or grandkids here for lots of activities on site. Glamping, silo camping, Conestoga wagons, nice large wooded sites in half the campground. Petting zoo, tiny villages, exotic animals like water buffalo, rheas and zebras, a train ride, bike/trike rentals, game room and playground. We loved the country market with veggies grown here. Private bath/shower stalls are wonderful! There is a catch and release fishing lake, but in March 2025 it was very low. Note: a few sites have full hookups, but they book up fast. We will definitely be back.
It was an amazing experience. We got to ride a train ($3/person) it was great, feels like you go back in time to 17-18 hundreds. Kids got candy and we bought fresh fruit.
