This is truly a hidden gem in the rural country side! Our stay at Brightstone Lake couldn’t have been more enjoyable! Whether it was walking the dogs around the 18 acre lake, or sitting outside enjoying the peace and quiet, this property is perfect! We met one of the Owners during our stay and he couldn’t have been more helpful and down to earth. Communication was flawless, no hidden fees, and the cabin was spotless when we arrived! We did plenty of fishing. It’s a perfect place for an amateur to catch a fish instantly if they wanted! There are charcoal grills available for use,kayaks,fishing boat, and a huge covered patio with picnic tables for those who like to entertain!
Extended family from out of state visited us in Indiana, and they loved their stay at Brightstone. They enjoyed the clear night sky, canoe & kayak trips in the misty morning, and hikes around the lake.
Really well thought out cabins on a relaxing property. It was great for our group of guys spending the weekend hunting in the area. The cabin was really clean and comfortable.
We were looking for a quiet, private place to take our dogs for their first primitive overnight camp. This property is absolutely perfect for what we wanted! We stayed in the last spot, lot #5. Each lot has beautiful gravel and a new fire pit + picnic table. Lots #1 and #5 have the most grass area, where we were able to pitch a tent. There was a gravel roadway from the front of the property all the way towards the lake. It was a beautiful walk to the lake and our dogs absolutely loved swimming. The property was very peaceful and quiet. The port o potty was clean. The only negative comment I can think of is that there were very hard weeds in the grass area which punctured the bottom of our tent. So if you are tent camping, I'd say a pad or tarp beneath your tent is a must. We loved our overnight at Brightstone and would love to come visit again!
Such private beauty- it feels like the wilderness mountains the middle of Indiana. I’ve been to Brightstone for a swimming party, fishing, and ice skating party. Each event left my kids exhausted from so much fun, and my husband and I relaxed and refreshed from having so much space for our kids to play and such a naturally beautiful area to relax in. Highlights were jogging around the trails with my dog, having a fire by the beach, enjoying the scenic lake with a glass of wine, and all the free play my kids enjoyed in the sand, water, and forest.
