The environment at Broad River Campground is characterized by a beautiful blend of natural elements and thoughtfully developed recreational spaces. The property is nestled in a scenic rural setting, with abundant hardwood trees providing a natural canopy and ample shade, creating a tranquil and aesthetically pleasing atmosphere. The ground is often a mix of gravel pads for RVs and turf grass side yards, providing a comfortable and tidy setting. The direct access to the winding Broad River is a significant environmental highlight, offering opportunities for river-based activities and stunning views, especially for those located in Phase 2's premium sites which boast amazing vistas of valleys beyond the campground. The presence of nature's sounds, from the rustling leaves to the river's flow, contributes to a peaceful retreat. While located in a rural region, the campground maintains solid accessibility, making it a viable option for those desiring a quick escape from urban life without extensive travel time. The natural setting is also home to various wildlife, enhancing the immersive outdoor experience for campers.

As a robust offering in the Campgrounds & RV Parks category, Broad River Campground provides an impressive range of services and, indirectly, "goods for sale" through its on-site facilities. For RV enthusiasts, the campground offers 56 full-hookup RV sites, equipped with 20/30/50 Amp electric, water, and sewer connections. These sites are designed to accommodate vehicles up to 44 feet with slides and an additional personal car or truck. Sites vary in size and privacy, with "Deluxe" and "Premium" options, including some cul-de-sac sites in Phase 1 and 2 that offer larger side yards and increased seclusion. Phase 1 has a bathhouse, while Phase 2, which opened in January 2024 with 39 sites, does not have a dedicated bathhouse, but guests still have access to the main facilities.

For those seeking alternative accommodations, Broad River Campground provides luxurious cabins and unique geodesic domes. The cabins can sleep 6-8 guests, featuring queen beds, sleeper sofas, and loft mattresses, along with private patios, fire pits, grills, and fully equipped kitchens with microwaves, mini ranges, and full-size refrigerators. Many cabins also include private hot tubs, available for rent. The 400-square-foot geodesic domes accommodate 2-4 guests, offering queen beds, sleeper sofas, mini-fridges, microwaves, and Keurig coffee machines, along with private decks and Adirondack chairs. While domes lack running water, guests receive private bath stalls in a communal bathhouse. For traditional tent campers, there are 5 premium tent sites, each with a 12' x 12' gravel pad for a primary tent, a secondary non-gravel pad, a picnic table, and a fire ring. Water spigots and 110V electrical plug-ins are available in the general tent area. Free high-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the campground, a significant convenience. The clubhouse serves as a central hub, housing clean bath/shower rooms, a laundry room (coin-operated and open 24 hours), a community room with games and a shared propane grill, and a camp store offering camping supplies, food, and apparel. Golf carts are available for rent, and guests can even rent inflatable hot tubs to be placed next to their RV site for an additional fee. There are also designated dog parks and a dog wash station, underscoring its pet-friendly nature.

The features of Broad River Campground go beyond mere accommodation, offering a wealth of recreational opportunities. A seasonal outdoor swimming pool provides a refreshing escape during warmer months. For active guests, multiple trails are available for hiking and biking, including direct access to the Broad River Greenway, a 1500-acre area with abundant wildlife. Water-based activities are prominent, including fishing, tubing, kayaking, and swimming in the Broad River. The campground even offers opportunities for gold panning, adding a unique, interactive element for families. Children and families will find plenty to do with a playground, climbing dome, gaga ball pit, ping pong table, corn hole, tetherball, horseshoes, and giant chess and checkers sets. A lending library is also available. The campground actively organizes weekend activities throughout the year, led by an Events Coordinator, including arts & crafts, movies, campfire s’mores, dancing, karaoke, bingo, game nights, ice cream socials, and scavenger hunts. Holiday weekends feature even more extensive events such as cookouts, hayrides, contests, live music, inflatables, pumpkin carving, and fireworks, creating a vibrant community atmosphere.

Not for ninnies. This place can break spirits, break boats and leave you in a bad spot. If you camp and your familiar with the things that will mess up your day down here you will do okay. There are far better sites in the park and this one is among the buggiest
