Broad River Campground & RV Park - South Carolina

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Don't stay here! We lived here for a year and in that time we have never seen so much drama, classless, and untamed people. Management - missing teeth or rotten teeth, drive around all day drinking beer, the bathrooms are disgusting and dirty, the washers are dirty on the inside as well as the dryers, if they don't like you they find every little thing they can to make up to tell you to leave when they have no authority to do so, they are completely unprofessional. We had our rent money stolen, our RV vandalized, our cars scratched, and literally anytime you want them to pull their cameras they don't have any footage of the incident. We had screwdriver marks on our door and we asked them to pull cameras and we're ignored and then told they don't work and to get our own. We got our own and then it was the management all along who was doing the vandalism. They will add charges to your account for bogus things and 1 not tell you, or 2 try to justify it even though they can provide no proof. The assistant manager literally told us " he makes no money and only gets free rent to work there, and implied he wants you to give him a tip for bringing you propane, wood, or anything that the RV park provides at a fee. It's not like it's free stuff or amenity they offer, it's ridiculous. Literally NOTHING is free but a headache, and dirty bathrooms. If you do decide to use the bathroom be ready to bring something to cover the cracks around the door because they are so wide you and the person on the outside can make eye contact. There is no gravel on any sites, the spots are so close you can hear your neighbor whisper. Even the weekend events like bingo you have to pay to play. The food truck they have looks dirty and ran down, I'm sure DHEC hasn't even checked to ensure it's suitable for cooking food or serving it. There is no license to sell the food, and you have no clue what they even serve. If you aren't white be ready to feel discriminated against. In the time we have been there no one of any other race besides white has worked their until recently. Everyone looks like they are on drugs, or they will probe you to death to see if you do them so they can probably ask you for some. It's honestly the trashiest place I have ever stayed at and it's made me hate RVing. Rent used to be 390.00 a month, now it's 610.00 with electric and water, but how does and RV used 220.00 a month in electricity ridiculous. All in all it's a dump. Don't stay!! Don't waste your money, and don't trust anyone if you do stay even a night.

We stayed here for around 5 months while working and we enjoyed our stay! Rick and Shannon are both great and were always there if you needed anything! We loved that there was a dog park and laundry! Our site was the perfect size for our 45 foot camper, dually and car! If we are ever back in the area we plan to stay here again!

We spent 5 months here and couldn't have been more satisfied. The staff is always pleasant, helpful and very quick to respond to anything you need or questions you may have. The laundry, showers and grounds are extremely well kept and clean. Very peaceful and quiet here,. No issues with other campground guests, everyone we have met here is helpful and friendly and respectful of the quiet atmosphere. Whether its a short or long stay we highly recommend this campground.

Shannon and her husband are wonderful to work with!! The park is clean and well cared for. They were very accommodating with us when our situation changed. We do hope to have the opportunity to stay at Broad River again. There are other parks in the area but this one is by far the best!!!

Very nice people. Had a water pipe issue before we got there and they put us in another spot so we could have full hook ups the camp ground was clean other campers were very nice. We would stay here again and probably will since our children and grand child live close by.
