Broadview Lake Campground offers a setting that many campers find appealing, particularly those with RVs. However, customer reviews reveal significant concerns about the campground's management. Some visitors report that the campground feels overly crowded, diminishing the overall camping experience. More concerning are reports of rude and disrespectful behavior from the owners. One reviewer described a distressing incident where the owners allegedly screamed and cursed during a family emergency, indicating a lack of empathy and professionalism. Additionally, there are claims of false advertising, with discrepancies between information provided over the phone and what is enforced upon arrival, particularly regarding fishing regulations and fees. It's also noted that the campground primarily operates seasonally, closing on October 31st due to cold weather. While the lake and camping environment are appreciated by some, the negative experiences with the management significantly impact the overall impression of Broadview Lake Campground.

Here are some key features and considerations:

  • Lake Camping: Offers a lake setting for camping and recreational activities.
  • RV Sites: Accommodates RV campers.
  • Crowded Environment: Reports of the campground feeling too crowded.
  • Rude Management: Concerns about rude and disrespectful behavior from owners.
  • False Advertising: Discrepancies between phone information and actual policies.
  • Seasonal Operation: Closes on October 31st due to cold weather.
  • Owner Disputes: Reports of owners yelling and cursing at guests.
  • Location: Situated in Colfax, IN, providing a lake camping experience.

Broadview Lake Campground offers a potentially enjoyable lakeside camping experience, but potential visitors should be aware of the significant concerns regarding management behavior and false advertising. If you prioritize a peaceful and respectful environment, you may want to consider these reviews before making a reservation. If you are looking for a seasonal location that is open until the end of October, and you are aware of the potential management issues, this may be a suitable location.

It’s a nice campground don’t get me wrong, but it feels too crowded and the owners are very rude and disrespectful. They screamed and cursed at my mom when my dad had an accident. He didn’t asked politely or even took time to understand what had happened. He just screamed and cursed. Their website is very false. I called about fishing with family and they’ll tell you one thing on the phone but when you go in to pay, it’s different from the website and what was said over the phone. It’s very much falsely advertised. I will NEVER pay for such rude and disrespect.

Seems like a nice place to fish but I didn't get a chance to because their website says you can pay daily for not campers but when I got there I was informed me that changed that years ago and you have to camp to fish there but have never updated the website.
