The new Camp Hosts do a wonderful job keeping the place clean. Which is no easy task with all the people up that way who are trying their damndest to destroy the forrest. Outhouses were spotless every day, each camp spot was clean, clean. Creek was low and comfortable which is typical this time of year. The trail which runs up and down the creek is all but impassable. Lots of trees down, with several spots that washed completely out. #HomeGrownInOregon #FallCreekOR
I really liked this place. Camping was nice and the spots r nice. 20 bucks a night tho so its a little pricey but still awesome.
This place is wonderful. The camp host keeps it nice and clean. The sites are mostly small, with the exception of a few. The sites have some good privacy, although you can hear your neighbors when laughter erupts. It is mostly wooded. We stayed in 15 which has great water access and is very large. It is a walk-in, although you don't have to walk very far. We had 6 people and it was large enough to accommodate us all. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was the bathroom situation. With the campground full for labor day, the out-houses filled up quickly. It would have been nice if they were emptied once during the weekend. Would stay there again. :)
We enjoyed the campground. Even though our site was close to the road there is a good buffer of trees and brush for camouflage. Old growth trees...maples, extremely tall firs and lush ferns, vine maple and berries. We ate salmon berries, mountain huckleberry, blackberry and one other kind. Camp host was helpful and informative. Caught us up on the fires and boundaries as well as some interesting history and folklore. Gave us firewood too. The cost per night is $19.00 which would price a lot of folks out. We have disabled vet discount. The water is wonderful. Slow current and many interesting rock formations. Kid friendly floating and rock hunting. Peaceful and serene. Site #9 is a double site with direct creek access and is booked the last weekend of the month so don't even try! Camp host should be there all year long as its not far up and road in stays fairly clear. I would love to camp there in the snow!
This place was exceptionally beautiful and the campsites spacious with the mightiest picnic tables I had ever seen and fire rings too. I especially liked #9 with its short path that landed you right at the creek. I had breakfast on its shores every morning. I didn't want to leave! While there wasn't any water and only porta-potties, it didn't matter one bit.
