Brooklyn Heights Riverfront Campground

This campground is EXACTLY what we have been looking for! The owner is active and goes way above and beyond assisting you and the scenery is beyond words. All of the sites are VERY spacious, not piled in like most of the commercialized places. We set two rather large tents on ours, a 6 person and an 8 person, plus it has a shed/cabin that is a great idea for food storage and two beds comfortable enough for if you don’t want to set a tent, or get out of the weather. All the other campers were friendly and helpful pointing out scenery and points of interest. Was the granbabies (three under 5 years old) first camping experience and he helped ensure it was memorable and enjoyable for us all. I could go on, but honestly it’s a place that just needs experiencing. Ten stars if that was an option!!!

Great little park. RV , tent , cabins. Has its own riverfront swimming hole. Vince is real friendly. Prices aren't bad either. He's new to the business and he's trying to make it better.

An incredibly helpful and welcoming experience at Brooklyn Heights Riverfront Campgrounds. As we embarked on a longer journey to Dolly Sods, we were in need of a convenient stopover between home and our final destination, and that's exactly what we found here. Vincent, our point of contact, made the whole process seamless, keeping us informed via text as our arrival time was uncertain. We were pleasantly surprised that we could set up our campsite even after dark with no hassles. Our stay was truly perfect, with a backdrop of beautiful woods and well-maintained surroundings. Although we regrettably missed the chance to explore the beach area, the gentle sounds of the nearby river added an incredibly peaceful touch to our evening. The price of $20 per night on weeknights for a primitive campsite was more than reasonable, and it came equipped with a fire ring and two benches. What's even more convenient is that Vincent had firewood available on-site for just $5. This thoughtful touch truly made our stay a memorable one. Highly recommended!

Second time at Brooklyn Heights Riverfront Campground. There's a reason we keep coming back, it's fantastic. Great rates, great management, great facilities. Management is always doing everything they can to make your stay more enjoyable. We especially love that the camp is dog friendly! Campsites are large, most can easily hold two tents and two cars. The beach/river front is amazing. One of the best swimming holes we've come across and there is plenty of room for multiple families to enjoy time on the beach. If you have dogs you can easily go up or down river to find a spot to play off-leash. Great hiking trails within short distance. I also had great cell service (AT&T) but management also offers reliable Wi-Fi. We're already looking forward to our next stay (which is already booked!)

Vince is doing an outstanding job getting this campground going. It’s still only two years old. Easy to get into your sites and their spread out just right. If you don’t have an RV, they have little shacks that have bunks in them. Plenty of firewood, really peaceful!
