Wonderfully serene area with gorgeous views from almost every campsite. Not crowded even on 4th of July weekend. Campsites are in good shape with bear boxes. The single downside is the heavy mosquito presence; I didn’t have any of that poison deet on hand and I couldn’t be outside at the campsite without getting swarmed same with my dog, so had to go back into town to get some poison. The natural bug spray I used did nothing, it usually works back east. Not the campsites fault, just be prepared. Also be prepared if coming in the summer for the sun, it may be 65-70 degrees tops but the sun will fry your skin in the afternoon up there. And the nights are pretty darn cold for tent camping even in July just keep that in mind. Didn’t see much of any wildlife besides birds and small critters though. Also cool hearing the horse sounds from the ranch up the hill. Lots of trout. Pristine streams all around the area. Highly recommend.

BRING BUG SPRAY. Honestly wish they sold Bushman's. If it's not windy then the mosquitoes are aggressive. However, this campsite is a hidden gem! Only 10$ (bring cash), they have bear boxes, toilets, but limited space. GORGEOUS VIEWS, I cannot stress enough.

Spectacular views of pinnacles Buttes. Water is calm and you can watch horses from the ranch nearby run into the field in which a section of CDT goes through.
