If you're content with peace and quiet, watching birds, feeding turtles and crayfish, this is a perfect sleepy campground. Mostly retirees, all super friendly but respectful of privacy.

Steve was quite an outstanding man. I would suggest this campground to any family camping. It is peaceful with a small brook at the backside. Definitely a great place to relax in the green part of New York

On our way back to Brookview. We spent last summer here and can't wait till we arrive. Hubbardsville NY has some of the prettiest scenery in the northeast and two of the nicest campground hosts. There's a pretty great store in walking distance that serves hot meals and is well stocked with groceries and supplies. Nearby picturesque Hamilton has a great big farmer's market in the village green, lots of cool restaurants and shops, the NYS filmfest, and 4th of July parade and fireworks. Hamilton is also the home of the famous Colgate University. Stroll the beautiful campus also visit nearby Cazenovia lake and Cooperstown home of the baseball hall of fame.

Formerly Canaan Campground, this is a small, affordable place with friendly staff and seasonal folks. It's an older campground but adequately maintained, washrooms were clean. There's a small playground for kids, but activities (pot lucks and stuff) are more oriented toward grown-ups.
