Nice little FS campground. The upper site has water at the well and all 3 areas have vault toilets. Great little swimming hole down along the river bend in the other side of Brown's Creek. Very warm for river water in July. I was also here 4 years ago in March when the upper campground was closed. Nice quiet vibe then.
It's always a good time going up there! One of my favorite places to go to, to unwind and enjoy some peace without the noises of Shelton.
Fun overnighter with work mates. We lucked out and got a site on the River. This time of year they only have 6 sites open. Even on a Sunday morning, there was only one site open for the 5 of us. Ample space for us, nice area. The privy was clean and well supplied with the best John Wayne tp you can buy☺️ We brought wood which was a good idea, but the chain saw we also brought came in handy, there is lots of dry fall down.
Great place, lots of beautiful nature, and trails. Only downside to our spot, was the logging trucks in the early hours traveling to and from their pick up spots. Other than that, it was very peaceful, spacious, and not for the type of campers that can't make their own toilet outside.... Nor for the type of campers that don't clean up after themselves. You have to take your trash with you, since there's no dumpster/cans around. (because if the wild life preservation)
Simply the best, I was there during those Northern lights with my best friend. Didn't even know it was happening until we walked away from the fire back to our tents. It was "in tents"....
