Bruin Woods

Bruin Woods is a fantastic family trip and experience. The staff and counselors were great. The activities were enjoyable with a ton of options. The food was resort style and the rooms were perfect for a mountain/cabin experience. Bruin Woods is a gem and we look forward to coming back for many years to come.

This year was not the normal experience I’ve been used to over the many years I came here. The counselors were not as enthusiastic and happy, many of the things from the past were also canceled. Hopefully things perk up next year and did I mention the “spa water” that stuff was nasty

This could not be a more perfect getaway! Close drive up from the coast. Everyone is so wonderful and courteous! The food is better than a restaurant. The property is so perfect for anyone, but amazing for our family! Trails, pool, sport courts galore! Highly reccomend. Another reason to be a Bruin!

its very sad that i cant this year in 2020 cause of corona, but next year is gonna rock. i m 11. i have been at bruin woods for 7 tears now. and....I LOVE IT! so much fun. the staff and counselors are so fun to hand out with. there are so much activities. and the answer is yes....blue jay bandits are staff in blue paint and the captain one for the boat is not real. but i respect it for the little one's, and i still love arts and craft. and everything. YOU WONT REGRET IT!!! but your family had to go to UCLA and if your grandpa did, u must go with your grandpa.. :)

Bruin Woods is an amazing place to visit up the mountains. They have amazing grounds, a lake front property, tons of activities, all nestled into a beautiful natural setting. Lots of paths for hiking in the woods and by the lakeside. It is hard to get in, though, I think you have to do a lottery because demand is so high.
