We like Brushy. It’s quiet and peaceful but the past two times we’ve came, the bathroom sinks are out of order so that’s why only 4 stars. We hiked the trail a couple months ago and then came back to camp. No one wants to go to the bathroom and not be able to wash their hands so please get that fixed, other than that, great little recreation area. Primitive camping is nice with grill fire pits and picnic table at each spot. watch out for snakes, we saw a big water moccasin around the fishing dock. There is no public water access and no showers. So bring lots of water and wet wipes or your own shower setup. Bathrooms on tent side are just like an outhouse situation with no sinks. Bathrooms on trail side have flushing toilets and are supposed to have sinks with running water but as stated, they’ve been out of order for a while.

Great place to camp. Very peaceful, beautiful and very reasonable rates. Gets very busy on weekends so I recommend arriving on a weekday if you want a spot. We loved it and the little lake is beautiful

Beautiful spot off the beaten track for camping. Right near the water. Paved walking track. Pier, you can fish off, feed the fish and ducks. We saw a family of 5 ducks. Flushing toilets and showers(cold only) at the day area. Non flushing toilets at the camp ground. Day area is a 2 minute walk from the camp ground, if that.

Beautiful small campground just inside the Bankhead National Forest. I only had one neighbor about 4 sites down. This was the perfect overnight stay on my way to Arkansas from Tennessee. Only $5 to camp and located along a watershed so plan for bugs. The sounds of nature were very peaceful. Each site has a grill fire pit and a picnic table with designated tent pads

Great quiet area. The campground has about 12 spots with two water spigots and pit toilets. The day use area had flush toilets and a cold water only shower.
