Based on customer reviews, Buckeye Beach Park is currently undergoing renovations. The campground has two distinct sides: a seasonal area that is described as lively during the summer months, and another area that appears to be transitioning. Some customers have noted that the campground is quiet and peaceful, especially for those seeking a weekend getaway. The presence of a boat dock leading to the lake and an on-site dive bar, with another bar across the street, are highlighted as unique features.
However, some reviewers have expressed concerns regarding the condition of the campground, noting the presence of "trashed trailers" and a sense of unsafety in certain areas. So I like it here it’s quiet and peaceful the owners are in the process of renovating an old trailer park and working hard in doing so it has 2 sides the one is seasonal and definitely cool in the summer lots of people having fun which is like any campground in the summer! I work 6 days a week and am gone 14 hours a day but on the weekend I sit by the fire and listen to Kareoke from the seasonal side or the awesome dive bar on site! This place has an actual boat dock that leads out to the lake which I thought was cool the dock is about 20 feet from the bar plus there’s a second bar right across the street. It is a campground going through renovations but the price is fair and it’s quiet I’ve been here for 6 months and will be here through this summer and am excited to see how the renovations continue to change in 2025!
They make you pay $95 app fee which is not to be charged unless you arrive to set up. When you arrive you are instantly disappointed. There are trashed trailers all over and some very shady people living in the back area. I would never park a camper there as it feels very unsafe. This place is a mess and they refused to refund. Stay away at all costs , it’s a dump
Very nice and quiet place to stay. We will be back. Having docks close is a great asset as well
very happy with the place glad we visit with the family great stuffing i will be back soon. very recommended
We love renting our dock from Buckeye Beach Park! We love the atmosphere and it's always pretty easy to get in and out. Easy parking.
