We have been camping at Buckhead since 2005, but my husband grew up out here and still has a lot of family in the area. That’s why we always come back, it definitely feels like home to us. We were there camping to see family for the weekend 6/6-6/9. It was really sad to see how much this place has gone down hill. This place is a gold mine and I’m so sad that the owners are just letting it rot. The only good thing was Connie, she was extremely helpful and kind. She went out of her way to be helpful and we really appreciate all she did during our stay. For $100 a night this campground should have more amenities. There is nothing here worth $100 a night. We have to drive to get ice or bait. Just really sad to remember this place as it was with breakfast on the water, boat rentals and so much more.

Great location to stay and fish. Tony and Kim are doing a great job at cleaning the place up.

Stayed here 05/03/24 - 05/04/24 in trailer #10. Place reeked of smoke smell. Master bedroom queen bed was hard as a rock, sheets were full of holes and tears. AC was not adequate. sign on refrigerator says no smoking? For $327.00 for two nights was a total waste of money. Place is outdated. Never again.

DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN. This place should be labeled as adult only or 55 plus. The owner kicked us out because he said we lied about how many children we have. The management dropped the ball and didn't charge us extra for our children and then we have 48 hours to vacate. How is that fair? We stayed here for 3 months with zero issues. This place is overpriced and nothing for children to do. Almost 1000 dollars a month they just shut the water off do to a water leak in the campground they literally just band aid everything you have 3 washers and 1 dryer the other two never work. They host a corn hole game every Wednesday but don't worry your children can't attend because they like to sit down there and drink alcohol. Sorry but this isn't a bar and everyone should be invited to a game if it's in the campground. We were discriminated against because of our family size and it's not right..

Camp host was awesome. She had taken time out of her Sunday afternoon to answer our questions and do application for a year round lot for our 40 ft motorhome. The RV park and marina has all the amenities we were looking for and our new space is welcoming ,clean, and we are excited to make it our new home. Ty so much. See you soon. Mick and Bobbie LIZZANO
